Apple has introduced a new privacy protection mechanism which requires special access to be granted to the Futudent Recording software.  Without this access, your Futudent camera will only display a black screen when selected. This access must be granted locally on the Mac and requires admin rights to grant it.

Steps to grant camera access to Futudent Recording Software

1. Go to System Preferences, then Security & Privacy, then Privacy, then Camera. See the screenshot as below.

2. Click the "lock" icon to make changes
3. If Futudent is already shown in the pane, then put a check next to it to enable it.
4. If not, click the small plus symbol underneath the pane. This opens a Finder window.
5. Navigate to your Applications folder, select Futudent, and click Open.
