Futudent in Academic Use

Nov 12, 2014 5:50:50 PM / by Innocent Okeke

We have had the honor and pleasure to welcome multiple universities to the Futudent family recently, among them the Universities of Oslo , Tartu and, most recent, Newcastle . What has struck us is the wide range of applications that Universities use Futudent for. Most of all are familiar with the researches performed by the Universities of Birmingham and Helsinki on the use of loupe-mounted cameras (read: our own Futudent solution), but other academic users are all the time coming up with novel ways of application.

Examples include, but are not limited to, the recording of different kinds of dental research and live streaming of procedures, but also distant learning application, virtual patient cases and the close support of students that do not perform as well as the university would like to see. With the latter, the move from result-based procedures to process-based education can bring significant improvements, as shown by the University of Helsinki research.

We are looking very much forward to our cooperation with our academic partners and soon will be visiting Tartu University for a hands-on training. Our question to you is: how would you, as an academic, use Futudent in your daily work?
